Shelter Manager and Volunteer Coordinator

Joy Anderson

Biography

Hi, I’m Joy Anderson. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Findlay and have several years of experience in case management and family support services. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, and families in need of support, guidance, and community resources. I have also served as a substitute teacher for the past six years.

I am a strong advocate for those I serve, and my heartbeat is encouraging and supporting others. I believe every person has value and deserves to feel heard, empowered, and cared for.

Outside of work, you can usually find me spending time with my husband and four boys, caring for the animals on our little farm — including calves, goats, chickens, rabbits, cats, and our dog — enjoying a trip to TJ Maxx, or soaking up sunshine and warm weather whenever possible.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and He will make your paths smooth. Proverbs 3:5-6
