Hope House is seeking an inspiring and mission-driven leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer.
For more than three decades, Hope House has been a trusted leader in addressing homelessness and housing instability in Northwest Ohio. Through shelter services, supportive programming, advocacy, and community partnerships, Hope House helps individuals and families move toward stability and self-sufficiency.

About the Role | Working closely with the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic leadership and organizational oversight while empowering a talented team to continue delivering high-quality services and advancing Hope House’s mission.
The CEO will focus on:
- Organizational vision and strategic planning
- Board partnership and governance
- Financial stewardship and sustainability
- Leadership development and organizational culture
- Community engagement and advocacy
- Fundraising and relationship development

- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills

- Financial and operational acumen
- The ability to work effectively with a Board of Directors, staff, donors, community partners, and other stakeholders
While experience in homelessness or housing services is valued, we welcome candidates from a variety of nonprofit, public sector, human services, and mission-driven backgrounds who can demonstrate alignment with Hope House’s mission and values.
Qualifications | Qualified candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or related education preferred
- Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in a nonprofit, public sector, human services, or related organization
- Demonstrated success in:
- Organizational leadership and team development
- Strategic planning and execution
- Financial management and budget oversight
- Fundraising, donor engagement, grant acquisition, and resource development
- Building partnerships with boards, community stakeholders, funders, and community partners
